Distressing viral video: Two Manipur women paraded naked
A distressing video of two women being paraded naked on a road in Manipur by a gang of men has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread condemnation and calls for action.
According to the Indigenous tribal leaders' forum (ITLF), the incident occurred in Kangpokpi district, about 35 kilometres from the state capital Imphal.
A zero FIR filed by a relative of the victim, which eventually led to an incident being registered to Nongpok Sekmai police station.
The mob killed two males and Forcibly stripped & gang-raped three women.
The victim's brother died while trying to protect her.
Fortunately, with the help of locals, the three women managed to escape.
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation in order to bring the perpetrators to justice.
What has happened to Manipur's daughters can't be forgiven, guilty won't be spared.
