Jaylen Smith becomes United States' youngest black mayor.

The youngest black mayor in the nation was elected in the state of Arkansas

JAYLEN SMITH, 18, Makes History by Becoming the Youngest Black Mayor in the United States

An 18-year-old college student named Jaylen Smith was elected to serve as mayor of the rural town of Earle, Arkansas.

Smith's family has many reasons to celebrate this significant victory, even though he is not the first 18-year-old mayor in US history

Smith told the Washington Post on December 7 that his mother couldn't stop crying.

JAYLEN SMITH further said, "People are looking at me and saying, "Well, I'm too young, he has no experience." But I used to tell people that in life, you have to start somewhere.

Smith presided over the institution's student government association while serving as president. While carrying out his obligations as mayor, he also wants to continue his studies.
