UGC-NET June 2024 Exam Cancelled

The Ministry of Education has cancelled the UGC-NET June 2024 examination due to initial evidence suggesting compromised integrity. 

Reasons for Cancellation 

Inputs from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit highlighted potential irregularities in the conduct of the exam. 

Mode of Examination 

UGC-NET was conducted in pen and paper mode for the first time, attracting a record 11 lakh registrations. 

Rescheduling Announcement 

The Ministry has announced plans to reschedule the UGC-NET exam, with new dates to be communicated soon. 

CBI Investigation 

 The case of examination irregularities has been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for thorough investigation. – 

Context of NEET-UG Controversy 

The cancellation follows widespread concerns over the fairness of national-level exams, paralleling issues with the NEET-UG 2024 exam currently before the Supreme Court.
