The senior attorney apologized immediately. Following the completion of the arguments, the lawyer apologized again to Justice Bhatt, saying that it was never his intention to address only one judge and that he should have addressed the bench as My Lords:

Chief Justice Gokani responded, "Many times in the General Clauses Act, we say he includes she, and perhaps she includes he as well!"
